Job Description
Yellowhouse Machinery is currently accepting applications for the 3D Modeling Specialist position at our Lubbock, Texas location. This position will specialize in combining engineered project plans and survey data to generate 3D digital terrain models of construction sitework for 3D machine control applications and 3D survey equipment. The models generated will cater to users of machine control and survey equipment produced by manufacturers such as Topcon and Trimble.
Compensation/Hours: Salary. Mon-Fri as publicly posted. Additional as needed.
- Utilize software programs such as Topcon Magnet, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center to generate 3D digital project model files, perform existing model file revisions, and perform model file conversions between various machine control software platforms.
- Work directly with Machine Control Territory Consultants to collect all customer survey data, project design files, and any other data necessary to generate a 3D digital model file for the end user’s specific application.
- Work directly with the Jobsite Applications Consultant and Machine Control Manager to develop a workflow process that safeguards quality control of the services provided while also placing focus on the overall customer experience from initial inquiry to the delivery of the final product.
- Collaborate with team members to provide customer consult and problem resolution guidance on complex work sites as it relates to machine control performance.
- Complete and maintain all required web based and instructor led training curriculum on the software applications being utilized.
Education, Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or equivalent work experience in sitework construction, land surveying, civil engineering, or other related industries.
- Strong computer and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to perform in and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
- Ability to interpret civil project plans and digital design files.
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Topcon Magnet Office, Agtek or Carlson software and their respective functions.
- Acquainted with Topcon, Trimble and Leica technology manufacturers and their product applications.
