Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an Admissions Officer / Student Recruiter for our client in St. Louis, MO.

This onsite, temp-to-hire role is ideal for someone who thrives in a sales-driven, customer-focused environment. The Admissions Officer plays a key role in driving enrollment growth through proactive outreach, high-volume communication, and personalized support-guiding prospective students from inquiry to enrollment.

Location: Downtown St. Louis

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM | Some evenings/weekends & travel during peak seasons

Key Responsibilities

Student Recruitment & Lead Generation

  • Conduct outbound cold calls, emails, and follow-ups to generate and qualify leads.
  • Use scripts, campaigns, and digital tools to engage with prospective students.
  • Maintain an active pipeline and track all activity in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging and increase lead volume.

Inside Sales & Enrollment Conversion

  • Apply consultative sales techniques to identify student needs and match them with the right programs.
  • Guide prospects through the admissions funnel, addressing objections and securing appointments.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., financial aid, student services) to ensure a seamless process.

Admissions Process & Compliance

  • Evaluate application materials for admission eligibility.
  • Conduct interviews and make recommendations on admissions.
  • Ensure all communication and data handling aligns with compliance standards and internal protocols.

Outreach & Events

  • Host and attend campus tours, open houses, webinars, and community events.
  • Build relationships with high schools, local organizations, and community partners to increase brand awareness and student referrals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred, or equal experience in Admissions Recruitment
  • 6+ months of experience in admissions, inside sales, or recruitment-preferably in education or professional services
  • Track record of hitting or exceeding sales/enrollment targets
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with CRMs (Salesforce, Slate preferred) and lead tracking tools
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including 1 Saturday/month during peak seasons
