We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Assistant Designer with a couple of years of industry experience to join our team. This role primarily focuses on Men’s and Boys’ apparel, with opportunities to contribute to Juniors (JR’s) collections as well. You will support the design team from concept through production, helping to translate seasonal trends and brand direction into compelling designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Design and Product Development teams to research seasonal trends, colors, fabrics, and trims.
  • Create sketches, CADs, and technical flats using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools.
  • Assist in developing mood boards, fabric swatches, and color palettes for seasonal presentations.
  • Prepare and update tech packs, ensuring all specifications, measurements, and details are accurate.
  • Communicate with vendors and factories regarding samples, materials, and production timelines.
  • Support fittings by taking notes, updating tech packs, and tracking sample revisions.
  • Organize and maintain the design room, sample library, and digital files for easy reference.
  • Contribute creative ideas to seasonal concepts, print development, and styling.
  • Assist with line reviews, internal presentations, and photo shoots as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of design experience in apparel (Men’s, Boys’, or Juniors preferred).
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset with a keen eye for detail and trend awareness.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with PLM or product lifecycle management software.
  • Knowledge of3D design tools such as CLO3D or Browzwear.
  • Basic graphic or print design skills.

Salary range $60-70K DOE
