Event Coordinator (Part-Time)

Location: Coati, Colorado Springs
Reports To: Creative Director
Hours: Part-Time (1525 hrs/week; evenings and weekends required based on event schedule)

Position Summary

The Event Coordinator will be the creative engine behind Coatis programming, helping design, organize, and execute compelling public events that reflect the energy and culture of our community. This role requires equal parts creativity, organization, and community-building. The Event Coordinator will also serve as one of the faces of Coatinetworking with local artists, musicians, vendors, nonprofits, and community partners to build lasting relationships and bring relevant, exciting events to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Event Concept & Creation

• Develop creative event concepts aligned with Coatis brand and community.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure events support Coatis goals and guest experience.
  
• Stay ahead of cultural and entertainment trends to keep programming fresh and relevant.

• Event Coordination & Execution

• Plan, organize, and execute public-facing events from ideation to completion.
  
• Manage event logistics including scheduling, vendor coordination, setup, and breakdown.
  
• Ensure events run smoothly, on-time, and within budget.

• Community Networking & Representation

• Actively network with local artists, musicians, creatives, nonprofits, and businesses.
  
• Serve as a visible face of Coati at community gatherings and industry mixers.
  
• Cultivate partnerships to bring diverse and exciting programming opportunities to Coati.

• Booking & Relationship Management

• Identify, contact, and book talent (musicians, DJs, artists, speakers, performers, etc.).
  
• Build and maintain positive relationships with talent, vendors, and community leaders.
  
• Negotiate agreements and ensure clear communication with all parties.

• Marketing Collaboration

• Work with the marketing team to create compelling event promotion strategies.
  
• Provide event details, assets, and creative input for social media, newsletters, and press releases.
  
• Engage with event audiences before, during, and after events to build lasting connections.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in event planning, hospitality, arts/culture programming, or related field.
  
• Strong creative vision with the ability to translate ideas into engaging experiences.
  
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills; comfortable being the face of Coati in the community.
  
• Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  
• Familiarity with Colorado Springs cultural, music, and arts scene is a strong plus.
  
• Evening and weekend availability required.
