What to Expect

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for reviewing and managing the contractor commercial aspects of the project. This person will ensure that contracts are written per the specifications, correct scope of work, required milestones listed, schedule requirements, and all executed within the parameters of the agreement. Other obligations will be to recognize potential risk, and the mitigation or remove of those identifiedrisks. Review contractors’ invoices to ensure they align with the executed contract and all the supporting documents. Track and monitor contracts in execution, and the close out process so that we have proper closure with contractors. 

What You’ll Do

• Review RFP/RFQ packages to ensure all proper documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work requirements are included in the package to obtain a complete and robust quote from the bidder
• Review and validate that contractual terms and conditions are aligned with the scope of work needs to ensure proper execution and identify potential risks in the contract/agreement and recommend future strategies to mitigate
• Maintain a contract log to monitor and track contract updates and performance and enforce compliance with contractual obligations throughout the contract duration
• Develop risk management processes to protect the company’s best interests and perform regular contract/agreement reviews to identify any deviations that may be done by the contractors
• Work with the project teams to ensure that they are compiling with agreed-upon terms of the agreement during execution and review changes to agreements and provide impact assessments on costs, manpower, and schedules
• Will be required to work of other company disciplines to review, implement, and enforce new processes to mitigate contract risk
• Provide regular updates and reports on contract performance showing KIP’s and overall status used for upper management reviews and understands the processes and constructability phases of all construction commodities

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in contract management and contract negotiation, 5+ years in site construction experience
• Great communication skills
• Understanding of construction contracts, and contract law
• Extensive knowledge in contract management
• Problem solving skills and project costs analysis and risk mitigation experience
• Experience reviewing contractor invoicing and ability to follow and enforce procedures
