Description:

The Credentialing and Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of provider credentialing, contract administration, and facility onboarding. This role ensures organizational compliance with regulatory requirements, facilitates communication between departments and stakeholders, and maintains accurate records. A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

Credentialing
  • Manage credentialing and recredentialing processes for providers and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, including those of the Joint Commission and payer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including state and federal confidentiality statutes.
Contract Management
  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle—from creation and negotiation to execution and renewal.
  • Maintain a centralized contract repository with associated documentation.
  • Track contract expiration and renewal dates, initiating the renewal process proactively.
Negotiation & Communication
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external partners (e.g., mental health professionals, vendors, service providers).
  • Facilitate contract negotiations, ensuring all terms are clearly communicated and agreed upon.
Documentation & Recordkeeping
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for contracts.
  • Onboarding Support
Required Skills & Competencies
  • 2+ years of facility and provider credentialing experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document management platforms (e.g., OneDrive), and project tracking tools (e.g., Monday.com).
  • Familiarity with insurance carriers, managed care organizations, and billing processes.
  • Working knowledge of Joint Commission standards and compliance requirements or willingness to learn.
