Job Title: Financial Specialist (Bilingual in English/Japanese is a plus)

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Financial Specialist to join their growing team. This role focuses on financial and profitability analysis, including detailed P&L breakdowns, weekly performance reviews, and KPI tracking. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to identify financial trends to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced P&L and Profitability Analysis:
Perform detailed monthly P&L analysis by department, account, and product category.
Enhance accuracy of Flash P&L Report through data validation and trend analysis.
Identify and explain anomalies and trends in financial performance.
Weekly P&L Reporting:
Create and manage weekly P&L reports highlighting operational issues and cost drivers.
Provide insights to management based on revenue and cost fluctuations.
KPI Tracking and Performance Monitoring:
Track departmental KPIs and generate performance dashboards.
Collaborate with department leads to interpret results and identify improvement opportunities.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Report Maintenance:
Work with Finance, Operations, and PMD teams to ensure reporting accuracy.
Support the automation of recurring reports using Power BI and Excel Macros.
Maintain reporting documentation for scalability and handoff procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
Assist in budgeting support and forecast model updates.
Aid the Financial Planning Manager with ad-hoc financial analysis.
Perform tasks as assigned by the VP of FP&A.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 2-6 years of experience in financial analysis or FP&A (entry-level).
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, graphs, V-Lookups).
Experience with Power BI; knowledge of SQL is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, detect anomalies, and provide actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to translate financial data into strategic insights.
Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
Language Skills (Preferred): Bilingual in English/Japanese is a plus.
