Grand Prix Horse Show Grooms: 5 Temporary, Full Time Positions (10/01/24-06/30/25) in Allison Park, PA. $14.63/hr, Overtime available -- $21.95/hr; Tues-Sat. 7am-4pm w/1hr break, Employer reserves the right to pay a higher wage rate or bonus to any worker, in its sole discretion, based on performance, skill, tenure or experience. 90 days minimum experience required but no education required. No on-the-job training provided. Employer uses a single workweek for computing wages due and workers are paid every two weeks. Employer will make all deductions from a worker's paycheck required by law. Employer offers optional free basic lodging. Employer will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during the travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. The employer will provide workers at no charge all the tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Job Duties: Groom will be responsible for attending to the care of the Grand Prix show horses and will groom, feed, water, bathe, clean, brush and trim horses. Groom will maintain and disinfect stalls and bedding, inspect and observe horses' physical condition, clean horses' feet and apply liniments and bandages to the legs as required. The groom will be responsible for the care of the 1-5 horses at a time which includes tacking up with bridle, saddle, martingale, and correctly fit and adjust the equipment.
