Are you looking for a unique internship that will provide you with exposure and experience developing video, graphical, and written content? This is a dynamic opportunity in a non-profit organization, working with variety of audiences in the U.S. manufacturing space.
The Graphic Design and Content Intern at the ARM Institute will be part of the Strategy and Outreach team and have the opportunity to enhance the Institutes communications assets to increase outreach and engagement with consortium members and the public. These include website, presentations, brochures, social media graphics, etc. as well as providing event support.
Responsibilities and Duties - Develop graphics for marketing assets like PowerPoints, sales sheets, virtual event invitations, email campaigns, and the ARM Institute website
- Copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications thru appropriate channels aligning to overall communications strategy.
- Create and/or edit videos
- Use Salesforce and other tools to support marketing and sales campaigns and generate reports. Training on Salesforce will be provided by ARM Institute staff.
- Help to manage the ARM Institutes online Member Community, finding opportunities for more engagement and ensure that content is up to date.
- Assist with coordination of virtual conferences, tradeshows, webinars, and other virtual events as needed, including assistance in creating marketing materials for conferences, coordinating with speakers, and tracking deadlines for tradeshow abstracts.
- Assist in curating content to be shared with the ARM Institutes audience across various channels.
Requirements - Enrolled in a college degree program and have completed the second year of college by the start of the summer internship program.
- Candidates must be working toward a 2-year or 4-year degree, preferably in marketing or communications.
- Candidates must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale.
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Qualifications and Skills - Experience with Canva, Adobe or similar graphics packages
- Excellent writing skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to organize and prioritize daily work
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a multidisciplinary environment
- Experience with marketing tools like Salesforce, web/blog platforms, MailChimp, etc. a plus
This is a 10 to12 week paid internship starting the first week of June (negotiable), working normal daylight hours Monday-Thursday for 25 hour/week. This is a hybrid/mostly remote position with opportunities to come on-site at our Pittsburgh office.
