The Event Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the group sales efforts for new business in selling of Group Experiences and Private Experiences at Sphere. The Manager of Sales will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, including lead prospecting, proposal creation, contracting, menu development and execution of all assigned events. This person will be accountable for implementing department business plans designed to meet and exceed annual sales goals. What will you do? Meet and exceed assigned sales goals for all applicable event types Work with Data & Analytics team to maintain and manage detailed engagement and pipeline records and metrics covering all sales activity within CRM system. Field incoming leads and attend tradeshows as required to stimulate new business opportunities. Assist in tracking, maintenance and documentation of all membership sales as compared to budget targets, and proper reporting with Finance. Consistently communicate with potential clients to ensure best overall experience for group throughout sales process. Other duties as assigned. What do you need to succeed? 3-5 years’ experience in sales environment; experience within sports or entertainment a plus. Bachelor’s in business, Hospitality Administration, Sports Management or related field, or equivalent work experience Prior experience with handling client service issues and managing affairs with potential new corporate and personal clients from the general public Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work both corporate hours plus event hours, inclusive of evenings and weekends Ability to address and solve problems, often under duress Demonstrated success in communicating, directing and executing company policies and standards under frequently challenging circumstances. Creative experience in developing marketing, promotions, events, etc. with the goal of cultivating new business opportunities and new revenue streams Special Requirements 10% TRAVEL – Ability to travel domestically and internationally for client meetings, sales missions, tradeshows and conferences, as needed. Works primarily in an office environment but may require attendance at shows and other events on evenings and weekends. Reliable transportation for off-property events, sales calls, meetings etc. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Pay Range
