Job Overview The Network Security Firewall Engineer focuses on deploying firewall solutions for IoT and Medical Devices enterprise-wide. Responsibilities include administering, configuring, testing, deploying, and maintaining network security and access control platforms for Medical Devices and IoT/OT devices. The role emphasizes next-generation firewalls, distributed firewalling, micro-segmentation, network policy distribution, and host/device access controls. Key Responsibilities Administer network security platforms, including micro-segmentation and distributed firewall design. Implement and explore network security and access management solutions across various layers and devices, including kernel modules, control planes, agents, APIs, and IoT platforms. Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and servers to secure Medical Devices and IoT devices. Assess security policy change requests, process firewall modifications, and update URL/DNS block lists. Support installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of security solutions. Ensure readiness of new security features and upgrades in inline network security products. Create security playbooks, document configurations, and communicate best practices. Minimum Requirements 6-10 years in Networking, Network Security, or Cybersecurity. 5+ years working with enterprise firewalls and secure network design. Expertise in network security platforms, protocols, and segmentation (e.g., ACLs, DPI, DDoS protection). Proven experience with enterprise firewall solutions like Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Check Point. Strong knowledge of networking concepts, security fundamentals, and virtualization. Relevant security certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, CISM) are preferred. Logistics & Additional Info Location: Denver, Colorado (local resources only; no relocation). Primarily remote, with periodic office visits post-COVID. Must be fully vaccinated or have approved exemptions. W2 employment only; no sponsorship or sub vendors.
