Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Preconstruction Manager / Estimator, located in Melbourne, FL (Downtown). The Preconstruction Manager / Estimator will be a 2-part position. They will be responsible for managing cost estimates, RFP's, RFQ's that they are assigned from the Vice President. Additionally, this role will oversee and be responsible for their own Design-Build projects - responsibilities will include budgeting, design team management, design/plan review, due diligence, and producing preconstruction schedules.

Role Flexibility
We believe the best collaboration happens in person, so our ideal candidate would be in the office full-time. However, we understand the value of flexibility and are open to hybrid arrangements. This is a results-focused role with flexible hours. We prioritize meeting deadlines and delivering quality over traditional bankers 9-5 hours.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 (Qualifications/Experience Based) + Bi-Annual Reviews.

Qualifications (Required)

  • 3+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or design-build project management within the construction industry (General Contractor or Subcontractor)
  • Proven ability to manage preconstruction workflows , including budgeting, scheduling, value engineering, and subcontractor coordination
  • Strong experience with design-build delivery methods , including early-stage design coordination and constructability reviews
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen, Procore, or similar platforms)
  • Solid understanding of building systems, construction means and methods, and local permitting/code compliance
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate architectural and engineering drawings
  • Strong project planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines independently and work across multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering , or related field
  • Experience with design-phase coordination and working with architects, consultants, and owners to guide design development
  • Familiarity with contract negotiation , procurement strategies, and buyout processes
  • Experience in a general contractor, subcontractor, design, or design-build firm environment
