We are seeking a Private In-Home Chef to join our family and elevate our culinary experience to the next level. This role requires a dynamic, creative individual who can change course quickly, maintain a well-stocked pantry, and prepare a variety of meals ranging from elegant dinners to school lunches.
Responsibilities:
Meal Planning and Preparation: Design and prepare a diverse range of meals, snacks, and school lunches, adhering to dietary restrictions and allergies.
Pantry Management: Efficiently stock and maintain the pantry, ensuring it is well-organized, and ingredients are readily available.
Menu Customization: Adapt menus to the family's changing preferences and dietary requirements while maintaining high culinary standards.
Allergy Awareness: Be vigilant in identifying and accommodating food allergies and sensitivities within the household.
Flexibility: Be able to adjust menus and schedules on short notice to accommodate last-minute changes or events.
Food Safety: Maintain impeccable food safety and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
Elegant Dining: Prepare and serve elegant meals for family and guests, with a focus on presentation and taste.
Budget Management: Manage food budgets effectively, sourcing ingredients cost-consciously.
Collaboration: Coordinate with household staff to ensure seamless meal service.
Qualifications:
Restaurant experience as a Sous or higher; if you have not worked in a high end professional kitchen, your application will not be considered.
Proven experience as a private chef or in a similar role, preferably within a high-end household.
Culinary degree or certification from a reputable institution.
Proficient in creating diverse and healthy menus.
Strong knowledge of food allergies and dietary restrictions.
Exceptional cooking skills and a passion for culinary excellence.
Ability to work independently, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain composure under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High standards of personal and professional integrity.
Respect for privacy and confidentiality.
