Assessment and placement of peripherally inserted central catheters using ultra-sound and micro-introducers for the adult patient population, including both in-patients and outpatients. Facilitates the achievement of the defined standard of intravenous care for all patients within the facility. Teaching both patients and staff, trouble-shooting and repairing various types of central venous catheters. Maintain and generate quarterly reports. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year PICC experience, with ultra-sound and micro-introducers REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
