Job Description

Our client is an established pharmaceutical company and is looking for a Research Associate II to join their drug formulations team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$35 – $40/hr

Position Overview:

The Research Associate II will prepare and test formulations of small molecule drugs for preclinical trials. The Research Associate II will maintain accurate lab records.

Responsibilities of the Research Associate II:

  • Carry out lab experiments with accuracy
  • Assess physical and chemical characteristics of potential formulations
  • Prepare various drug formulations for other department studies such as toxicology or pharmacology groups
  • Perform analytical testing including XRPD, DSC, TGA, HPLC, DVS
  • Conduct data analysis and interpretation

Qualifications for the Research Associate II:

  • Knowledge of physical chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry
  • Research experience or internship in a chemistry laboratory
  • Should have strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Education Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related science is required
