We are inviting motivated, strategic thinkers to join us as Research Officer Interns. You will play a crucial role in supporting the creation of project proposals and knowledge management materials through focused research activities, all under the guidance of the Director of Global Operations.

  • Contribute to the formation of research questions and draft concept notes.
  • Assist in composing research reports, briefing notes, policy papers, and other necessary documents.
  • Research and identify potential partnerships with local organizations, universities, and research institutions.
  • Represent IIRR in program and coordination meetings, staff meetings, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders when appropriate.
  • Help design and manage research dissemination and follow-up activities, providing strategic advice on future program directions.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree completed in any discipline before the internship begins.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and self-motivated.
  • Approachable and responsive, especially when handling ad-hoc requests for support.
  • Creative and resourceful, with a passion for problem-solving.
  • Exceptional writing abilities with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Curious and open-minded, willing to contribute innovative ideas.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while efficiently managing multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to embrace learning experiences and incorporate feedback in a diverse, global team setting.
  • Capable of adapting to a startup culture that may require flexibility in roles.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Applications.
  • Responsive to managerial feedback, able to take direction and work independently in a remote environment.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact.

Application Instructions:
