**Job Description****This recruitment offers a $10,000.00 Recruitment Incentive to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine** **Harborview Medical Center** has an opportunity for an Perioperative Register Nurse to join us in our **New Outpatient Surgery Center.** **WORK SCHEDULE** 100% Mon-Friday (4-10s/ week) Day Shift No holidays, weekends, or nightsThe UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center at Harborview is a five operating room surgical unit with supporting pre-operative, post-operative, and sterile processing departments. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** Predictable surgical schedule Efficient fast paced environment Team oriented Cross training opportunities Stand alone surgery center with Harborview support **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** The **UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center** will provide daytime surgical procedures to the community of patients that meet developed criteria. **ABOUT THE OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER** The **New Outpatient Surgery Center opening on the Harborview Campus** is located on the 4th floor of Ninth and Jefferson Building (NJB) and will open January 2026 to patients. The Surgery Center will feature 5 operating rooms, 12 pre/post bays, and sterile processing. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday with no holidays, weekends, or night hours. The Center will offer same-day surgery procedures utilizing state-ofthe-art equipment to our community of patients that meet the necessary criteria. This reflects the Centers innovative, patient-centered culture, supporting ongoing operational efficiencies and quality improvements. The goal is to provide a seamless, low-stress surgical experience for each patient, surgeon, and staff member. The unit will provide a soothing environment with natural lighting and patient privacy. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES *(PER/POST OP)*** Patient admit to the unit Patient teaching and discharge Administration of pre and post operative medications Continuous patient pre and post operative assessment Documentation in Epic Participation in quality improvement projects **REQUIREMENTS** Graduated from an accredited school of nursing Two or more years perioperative experiences Has a WA/MSL RN license to practice in the state of Washington. **ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
