Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time social worker position is available to support K-12 students throughout the academic year in Yelm, WA. This role focuses on providing essential social work services within the school setting to promote student well-being, support academic success, and address social and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address behavioral, emotional, and social issues
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans
• Assess student needs and connect them with appropriate community resources or services
• Promote a positive school environment through prevention and crisis intervention strategies
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records and documentation
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success and well-being

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work or related field with licensure or eligibility to practice as a Social Worker
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or similar setting
• Strong understanding of K-12 developmental issues and school-based social services
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders

Location:

• Yelm, WA and surrounding areas

Position Details:

• Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
• Contract position for the full school year
• Service to K-12 students
