As a Security Officer – Access Control Patrol in Harvest, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a government location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, providing a reassuring presence while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication to all visitors and staff. This position requires the use of technology such as alarm panels and computer systems, and you will be expected to respond promptly to any security-related concerns. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Assist in implementing and following site-specific security-related procedures and protocols for access control.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting visitors and staff in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and promote a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
