Job Description
The Position Genentech, Inc. seeks a Senior IAM Engineer at its South San Francisco, CA location.
Duties: Lead and perform end-to-end designs for Identity and Access Management (IAM) infrastructure and create and maintain related component standards. Architect, design, build, test, and oversee first-time implementation/deployment integrated, resilient and reliable software solutions. Define infrastructure architecture, design and implementation plans for hosting IAM application workloads in a cloud environment. Lead technical teams on medium- to large-scale software development projects, which includes project management, product lifecycle management, and Proof of Concept (PoC) studies. Perform various development activities for DevOps practices, including continuous integration, delivery, testing, and performance monitoring. Define spec criteria and evaluation methodologies for tools, technologies, and systems by conducting PoC and feasibility studies. Convert technology roadmaps into actionable portfolio projects and activities, and make estimations on resource requirements, dependencies, risks, and timelines involved to meet delivery deadlines. Review designs and solutions to ensure their alignment and adherence to the company's Technical Architecture Framework (TAF) policies, standards and business plans; ensure solutions' and components' compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Produce and maintain technical documentation for designs, design patterns, and component standards. Contribute to and/or write position papers, white papers, technical recommendations and best practices including use cases for their infrastructure solution space.
Education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field, and 8 years of post-baccalaureate and progressive experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, Technical team member or a closely related position
Special Requirements Employer requires 5 years of experience in each of the following:
- Sailpoint IDM (IdentityIQ);
- Cloud computing;
- Ping Federate;
- Microsoft Active Directory;
- JSP Scripting languages (such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery and BeanShell);
- AWS and Java/J2ee components (such as Servlets, JDBC, Quartz and EJB, SOA based implementations and java/j2ee APIs).
Position allows telecommuting 1 day per week.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of South San Francisco CA is $184,579 to $233,400. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
