PoliTemps is seeking sharp and eager entry-level candidates looking to start their careers in PR, media, public affairs, and social media marketing staff with political organizations in the DC metro area.PoliTemps is an established political and public relations staffing agency with over twenty years of experience serving major DC-area nonprofits, think tanks, political consultants, public relations firms, and advocacy organizations. PoliTemps has been cited in numerous media outlets and has recently hit a milestone of placing associates for over one million hours at client locations and permanently placing staff at 500 various assignments.
We seek candidates who are politically savvy and equipped with industry knowledge and transferable skills from any of the following political arenas: campaigns, Congress, the executive branch, or legislative spaces.
We are seeking candidates with experience in social media management, communications, press, strategic communications, and media outreach. Excellent writing skills, SEO knowledge, a robust digital skill set, and a familiarity with best practices in communications and social media spaces are required.
Our clients for social media and communications positions include blue-chip corporations, nonprofits, lobbying firms, political consultants, PR agencies, and a variety of other organizations in the Washington DC metro area.Candidates must be comfortable in an office and professional environment, and adept with relevant computer programs, software, and industry best practices. Candidates must possess a “can-do” attitude and be eager to work.
Familiarity with applications such as Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Social Sprout, Meltwater, and Cision are helpful.
Applicants must reside in the Washington DC metro area , be open and flexible to a variety of assignments, and available to work 30-40 hours/week. You must be available for temporary assignments and currently not working in a permanent position or interning. PoliTemps places candidates in temporary, temp to perm, and permanent positions.
