About The Position
ID: 74194677 Shift: Days 8 hours 40 Hour Guarantee Description: ***This is a possible temp to perm***The Medical Assistant will manage the customer flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their customers. Customers come from a variety of backgrounds and various age groups requiring individualized care including infants, children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics.The Medical Assistant will perform clinical and clerical tasks to assist with the management of customer flow throughout the clinic. Tasks include standard rooming processes, giving immunizations, injections, and other medications as directed by the provider; and performing laboratory specimen collection as needed. Dependent upon the specialty and clinic location, the Medical Assistant also may: provide telephone support facilitate communication between customers and providers assist with prescription refills perform x-ray duties as assigned if individual has passed the x-ray operator exam perform phlebotomy duties perform clinic laboratory testsThe Medical Assistant also may provide support to the clinic: front desk/check-in support ordering and stocking supplies assistance with prior authorizations Submission requirements: Local Candidate - Preferred2+ Years of Experience in a clinical setting-RequiredBLS (AHA or ARC)-RequiredExperience with Epic - RequiredAll Patient Population Experience-RequiredExperience with taking vitals, immunizations, EKGs, medications/refills, rooming, and procedure assists-RequiredGraduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a recognized accrediting organization (i.e. ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program RequiredOR Graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program accredited by a national health services organization (i.e. American Medical Technologists) with on the job experience and passing the RMA Certification exam.Profile historySkills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty2 Supervisory References with dates employed listedDiplomaIf a candidate is not eligible to work in the USA, it must be noted on their profileALL RTO requests must be included at the time of submittal, NMH may not honor RTO requests after submittal Rate:42 OnCall:No Call WeekendDescription:No Weekends Guaranteed Hours: 40 Contract Weeks:91
