Also, Honeywell DCS Applications Engineer & Honeywell Safety Manager Applications Engineer (Deer Park, TX)

Looking for two (2) Triconex Applications Engineers with experience in the Energy and Chemical sector to join our team in Deer Park, Texas. The ideal candidate would have 8-10 years of experience. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.

Role Profile:

Triconex Applications Engineers provide expert consultation in one or more areas for the design, implementation, testing and commissioning of Safety Systems in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry. The individual works hand in hand with the Client to ensure the design is technically sound. This position requires hands-on hardware design, integration, application development and testing. This position reports to Process Control Lead.

Main Duties:

  • Promotes Safety, Quality and Lessons Learnt for Projects
  • Support and provide input into the development of the Proposals
  • Prepares scoping, hardware design and commissioning documentation for Process Control and Safety Systems
  • Develop process applications and supports testing for the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry
  • Develop custom Cutover Procedures to support migration projects
  • Develop Control Narratives, Logic Diagrams and Cause and Effects to support Design activities
  • Development of graphics based on P&ID’s, operations and client requirements
  • Migration of applications from legacy control system hardware to next generation Hardware and applications platforms.
  • Promotes standardization of hardware and application design by using techniques such as function block prototyping, sequence of events standardizations, etc.
  • Integrate applications between DCS and PLC’s
  • Work with Project Manager/Engineer to manage project priorities and changes
  • Prepare technical and status reports for the project.
  • Identifies scope changes and provide input into solutions and cost estimate required.

Role Qualifications and Skills:

  • Engineering Degree or Technologist Diploma (Chemical, Instrument, Electrical, Mechatronics)
  • Experience in Programmable Systems in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry (Preferred)
  • TUV FSEng Certification and knowledge of function safety
  • Self-Starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Customer Focused, ability to solve client problem and work independently at client site
  • Effective communications skills to enhance productivity and builds respect
  • Works well within a Team Environment
  • Strong Safety behaviors to support Company and Client Safety Cultures

Years of Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the Engineering Design Industry

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Compensation package: Overtime pay

Experience level: 5 years

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
