JOB TITLE- Wedding & Event Planning Intern

Do you browse Pinterest and Instagram and like all of the wedding inspiration that you see? Are you eager to learn the ins and outs of planning weddings? Are you a self starter? Are you comfortable collaborating in a team setting? Then let us know why you would be the perfect fit for The Belvedere & Co. Events Spring/Summer Internship. We are looking for a student who is full of energy and passion about all-things weddings and events!

We offer flexible hours but do require regular availability on Saturday's. This is an entry level position for someone who would love the opportunity to learn and grow in the hospitality industry in our historic venue. This position is available immediately for someone who is looking for spring/summer employment but ideal for a candidate that might be graduating as it offers opportunity for advancement and continued employment at the end of the internship period.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job description for this position requires the perfect candidate to:

• Work alongside our team to provide personal attention and excellence in hospitality to each and every Belvedere & Co. Events’ Client
• Assists with planning of wedding and social events
• Create client floor plans
• Create wedding timelines
• Updates menu selections and banquet event orders
• Communicate with vendors
• Communicate with Clients
• Attend meetings prior to the event day
• Check-In Wedding Personal Items and Decor

Event Days

• Support and be present for each event scheduled
• Warm Greeting of Bride/Groom/Family Members/Guests 
• Oversee vendor arrivals and mange timeline throughout the event in collaboration with vendors and service team
• Assist with client's personal items

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must have excellent customer service skills, strong communication and the ability to multitask and be courteous to all guests attending events
• Be friendly, smile, be personable and have a positive attitude during all events
• Provide personalized service and excellent hospitality to all guests
• Remain calm under pressure and make decisions with maturity and sound judgment
• Must be able to work the duration of the event with limited breaks in between - typical event day being 8-10 hours
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Must be available to work Saturday's

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Mondays. Compensation depends on your experience.
