Who is JAMZ Construction?

We're a family owned and operated business currently living in the beautiful city of Cullman, Alabama!

At JAMZ Construction, we specialize in retrofit and new construction window installation, door options to suit your style and budget, as well as vinyl, wood, and fiber cement siding installation, pressure washing, and painting services for both interiors and exteriors. Additionally we do some other specialty construction like audio/visual equipment, LED Walls and Screens, telephone systems, and are moving towards high end data/communications equipment sales and installation.

Our family has over 30 years of combined experience in the construction industry, making us one of the most knowledgeable and skilled professionals in the business. In fact, before we moved home to Alabama, our family company was once the largest in Oregon for exterior envelope construction, and installed tens of thousands of windows and millions of feet of siding throughout the lifetime of the business, and one of the top ten remodelers in the United States for several years.

Summary of a JAMZ Installer

We are seeking a reliable team worker to join our construction team at JAMZ Construction. As an installer, you will be responsible for installing a variety of specialty materials, including siding, windows, painting, and other specified construction items. While basic carpentry knowledge is preferred, we are also willing to provide training to individuals who possess a good work ethic, common sense intelligence, and a strong desire to learn and grow with the company. Persons with a proven track record and construction history will be strongly considered and pay is commensurate with experience and upon passing a basic skills test.

Responsibilities

  1. Install construction materials: Carry out the installation of siding, windows, painting, and other specified construction items according to project plans and specifications.
  2. Follow safety protocols: Adhere to safety guidelines, wearing appropriate protective gear, and ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and fellow team members.
  3. Prepare work areas: Properly prepare and clean work areas before installation, ensuring surfaces are ready for the installation process.
  4. Measure and cut materials: Take accurate measurements and utilize appropriate tools to cut materials to the required size and shape for installation.
  5. Ensure accurate alignment: Align and position materials accurately, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality.
  6. Use appropriate tools and equipment: Utilize various hand and power tools, machinery, and equipment to facilitate the installation process effectively.
  7. Collaborate with team members: Work closely with project managers, foremen, and other team members to coordinate installation activities and ensure smooth project execution.

  12. Assist with other construction tasks: As needed, provide support in additional construction-related activities, such as general labor, site cleanup, or assisting other trades.

Employees do carpool and share rides, but the company, while it may at times provide some transportation, will NOT provide your personal transportation to the jobsite. Typical work week is M-F with weekends off. Any out of town work which may be required occasionally is paid with per diem.
