Key Responsibilities

Data & Insight Leadership

  • Partner with Institutional Research, Innovation & Strategy (IRIS), Notre Dame Research, IT, and other relevant offices to collect, synthesize, and analyze data related to College research and teaching investments, faculty productivity, research impact, peer benchmarking, enrollment, student success, academic outcomes, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Leverage data and institutional metrics to identify opportunities for improving the visibility, performance, and national rankings of academic departments.
  • Analyze key trends in enrollment, academic performance, graduate placement, budget, and peer benchmarking to support evidence-based planning.
  • With IRIS, develop dashboards, executive-ready reports, briefs, and presentations to support data-informed decision-making.
  • Create data dashboards and tools that enable continuous monitoring of strategic indicators that align with developing excellent departments and interdisciplinary programs.
  • Prepare presentations, strategic briefs, and communications that articulate key findings and recommendations.

Strategic Project Oversight

  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives across departments and contribute to shaping the college’s public narrative and positioning.
  • Lead or support cross-functional strategic initiatives from conception through implementation and assessment.
  • Ensure alignment of college-wide efforts with institutional mission, vision, and values.
  • Coordinate and ensure the execution of special projects and initiatives assigned by the Dean.
