What you get to do: - Safely setting and striking scenic elements/set pieces before, during, and after performances.
- Wear a specified themed uniform during performances while on stage.
- Responsible for the safe handling of scenic elements/set pieces on and off stage as well as into and out of designated storage areas.
- Perform start of day of checks on scenic elements/set pieces/venue stage as outlined by the show leadership team.
- Duties include, but are not limited to, sweeping and mopping venue stage, cleaning of scenic elements/set pieces, and setting/striking/resetting props.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, procedures, and pre-determined on-stage traffic patterns and cues.
- Assists in the startup and preparation of all performances including but not limited to cleaning of elements, stage cleaning, and setting props.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Consistently demonstrates courteous and professional behavior in all work aspects with all ambassadors and guests.
- Maintains a professional appearance that meets grooming standards
- Perform and complete assigned tasks from management as needed
- Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), lifting, and reporting unsafe situations
What it takes to succeed: - High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift and move 50 pounds required.
- Strong communication skills; positive attitude, team player; multi-tasking skills, collaboration skills
- Be willing to comply with all company grooming guidelines and employment standards.
- Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines
- Must be able to react quickly to both audio and visual directions.
- Must be comfortable working in tight spaces and in close proximity to other people.
- Must be comfortable utilizing all required PPE including but not limited to dual ear over the ear hearing protection.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, weekends, evenings, overnights and holidays
- 6 months theater or live show experience in an operational capacity preferred.
